Thiruvananthapuram: Athletes Jinson Johnson and V Neena have been adjudged winners of this year’s G V Raja Award - the highest sporting honour in Kerala.

The Olympian Suresh Babu Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to veteran badminton coach S Muraleedharan. The honour carries a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh and a plaque and a citation.
Jinson, who has been in the form of his life this season, had won two medals - gold in 1,500m and silver in 800m – at the 18th Asian games held in Indonesia a few months ago. For Neena, the award comes in recognition of her silver-medal finish at the continental event. Both are natives of Kozhikode district.
