Basketball: Kerala retain women's 3X3 crown, Tamil Nadu take men's title

Kerala women retained their title in the Senior National 3X3 Basketball Championship in Bengaluru on Sunday. Kerala, led by Sreekala R, defeated Tamil Nadu 16-12 in the final. This was the second medal for Kerala women this month, after a silver in the Senior Nationals at Bhavnagar in Gujarat.

Tamil Nadu took the men's title, but it had a Malayali touch as Thiruvananthapuram native Pranav Prince was the star of the side that beat Uttar Pradesh 21-16 in the final. Kerala women had edged Telangana 19-17 in the semifinals. The other members of the Kerala women's team are Susan Floretina, Kavitha Jose and Jayalakshmi V J.
