Kozhikode and hosts Alappuzha emerged champions of the state sub-junior basketball championship at Punnapra.

Kozhikode drubbed Ernakulam 69-18 in the girls' final, while Alappuzha denied Kozhikode a double by winning the boys' final, 67-48.

Ernakulam and Malappuram claimed the third place in the boys and girls categories respectively.

Ernakulam edged Kottayam, 53-52, in the boys' third-place game, and Malappuram defeated Thrissur, 38-26, for bronze in the girls' event.

Rexon Antony of Alappuzha and Akshara K from Kozhikode were selected as the Most Valuable Players (MVP).
