India crushed South Korea 4-1 to lift the Asia Cup men's hockey tournament and qualify for next year's World Cup.
Dilpreet Singh (28th and 45th minutes) struck a brace while Sukhjeet Singh (1st min) and Amit Rohidas (50th) added to the tally at Rajgir in Bihar on Sunday. Defending champions Korea pulled one back through Dain Son (51st).
Harmanpreet Singh-led India were dominant throughout the event, winning five games and drawing once.
After winning all three pool matches, India drubbed Malaysia (4-1) and China (7-0) before holding Korea 2-2.
India have secured four Asia Cup titles, having won the tournament in 2003, 2007 and 2017. Korea are the most successful team in the event with five titles.
The World Cup will be held in Belgium and the Netherlands in August, 2026.
