Alappuzha emerge overall champions with 42 gold in All India Inter-SAI Kayaking & Canoeing Championship

Hosts Alleppey dominated the 10th All India Inter-SAI (Sports Authority of India) Kayaking and Canoeing Championship, clinching the overall title with 42 gold medals and a total of 309 points.

The SAI NCOE (National Centre of Excellence) in Alappuzha also bagged 22 silver and 11 bronze medals, finishing well ahead of their nearest rivals, NCOE Bhopal. The Bhopal team concluded the four-day event with 212 points, including 22 gold, 23 silver, and 11 bronze medals.

The event saw participation from 197 athletes, including 92 girls, competing across 96 medal events. The NCOE Jagatpur team from Odisha secured third place, while Jammu and Kashmir finished fourth.

Teams from Port Blair, Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh), Army Boys Sports Company Roorkee, and ABSC EME also took part in the four-day event.
