Prayaga has posted a series of photos in which she is seen relishing the mouthwatering Mysore pak, enjoying the exuberance of the Mysore Palace and indulging in some street shopping. Srirangapatna
Srirangapatna is an important historic city just 18 kilometres from Mysuru. One of the famous Vaishnavite pilgrimage centres in South India, the city is named after the Sri Rangaswamy temple. Srirangapatna was a major cultural centre during the time of Tipu Sultan. The remnants of that age could still be seen in this city. Meanwhile, the Tipu Sultan Fort in Srirangapatna exudes the regal exuberance of Indo–Islamic architectural tradition.

The beautiful Brindavan Garden is a significant highlight in Mysuru. Situated close to the majestic Krishnaraja Sagar dam, this garden was designed by Mysore Diwan Sir Mirza Ismail. Interestingly, the Brindavan Gaden has been designed in the same model as the iconic Shalimar Gardens in Kashmir. Earlier, the garden was called Krishnarajendra Terrace Garden.
Somnathpur

The temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, is known for its intricate carvings and mesmerising architecture. Somnathpur is around 35 kilometres away from Mysuru.

The ‘radhotsav’ (chariot festival) conducted in Nanjangud is quite famous, drawing millions of visitors from across the country. Tipu Sultan, whose capital was Srirangapatna, shared a close bond with Nanjangud too. The Nanjangud bridge, constructed in 1735, is one of the attractive features of the city. Meanwhile, the Nanjakandeshwara temple, built on the banks of the Kapila River, is known as Dakshina Kashi.
