The mountain may not be the toughest in Wayanad, but it has a unique attraction: a dark cave that conjures up images of a tiger that has lent its name to it.
The road to Kaduvakkuzhi forks away from the Ambalavayal-Karappuzha road. You could drive up to 200 meters close to the den. Trek up the path to the mountain to be surprised by a cleft in the rocks.
If you are an adrenaline junkie, this place is for you. Still you need assistance from an experienced guide and essential equipment including ropes and lights. You could descend to the dark depths of the cave but be aware of the dangers.
If your are afraid of darkness, try climbing the mountain instead. You would be rewarded by a panoramic view that includes the Karappuzha reservoir and the Manimalakkunnu, Chembra and Ambukuthi hills.
