Cafes are fast becoming popular in Kerala, especially in cities like Kochi and Kottayam. When I first heard about Tonico Cafe, I assumed it was a trendy eatery for the young crowd. On my husband's repeated insistence and having heard good reviews, I visited the place with my extended family that included grandparents to a one-year-old. Tonic's decor is stylish. The place was packed whenever I went there, yet not overcrowded. There is enough spacing between tables to provide privacy. The table was well set and their menu card set on a wooden frame was nice. Both veg and non veg options are provided. All portions are large enough that it can be shared by two people. The dishes were well presented and tasty. I can vouch that Tonicio matches the standard of some cafes seen in Kuwait. The staff was very attentive and friendly and food was served quite quickly. I recommend trying the chicken caesar salad regular sausage sandwich, Tonico club sandwich, Belgium chocolate for your first visit. You can also try some hot and cold beverages like cold coffee, mocha and latte. Burgers are big, so go for it if you are really hungry. Tonico has a mouthwatering dark fantasy chocolate cake too -- its a must have. The ambiance is splendid and all age groups can feel at home here. An added attraction is that it is not loud or hurried spot, like some joints. I will definitely visit Tonico again. My 10-year-old nephew gives it a thumbs up too.
