Long long ago, Kunnamkulam was infamous for its 'duplicates', but now, the look and feel of this town has changed. And 'Taste Manthra' is one of the must stop by eat outs in this area.
It is when you walk into 'Taste Manthra' that you realize that there are two restaurants here. The ground floor - Cafe News - was built keeping in mind the laptop-toting executives and the love-birds who walk in for ice creams.
The designers Franko Paul and Reby Mathews decided to give a distinct touch and feel to this place. From the seating arrangement to the counters it is a mix of fabric and metal. Number plates and curios dot the walls, setting the ambiance. The food here is excellent too. The cafe specializes in cakes and other treats. You can settle in for a nice piping hot pizza.
If you are really hungry and pizzas and pastry are not your stuff, you can walk up to the upper floor. Done up tastefully like Cafe News, the eat out makes use of bamboo and woodwork to create private spaces. A prayer room and a feeding room adds to the thoughtfulness.
The biriyanis here are just out of the world and so are the chicken dishes. And make sure you get a bite of the Bamboo biriyani. So what are you waiting for? Drop by at Taste Manthra on your way to Kunnamkulam
