International Kayaking Festival back in Kozhikode after two years

Kerala's Kozhikode is set to host another edition of the International Kayaking Festival after a gap of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exciting water sport event will be held at Kodenchery from Kuly 22 to 24.

The International whitewater Kayaking matches are held at Chalipuzha river (Pulikkayam) and Iruvazhinji river (Arippara).

The event will be held in various categories including slalom, boater cross, downriver, and super final extreme races. The top scorers in the male and female categories are given the titles of Rapid Raja and Rapid Rani respectively.

This would be the eight edition of the kayaking festival. The festival which received nationwide attention for its performances and collaborative spirit is back after a gap of two years due to Covid.

Pulikkayam is located on the Kappad-Thusharagiri road. While Arippara is located on the Mukkam-Thiruvambadi-Aanakkampoyil road.
