Dubai: In a path-breaking announcement, UAE’s Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touk has said that a single visa was being planned for residents of all GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. “We will implement this decision as early as possible,” he added.

The new facility, when it comes to force, would enable residents to travel in all GCC nations freely. According to authorities, the measure aims to enable smooth travel in the region and provide a fillip to tourism.

The announcement was made by the minister at the Future Hospitality summit held in Abu Dhabi.
