Several tourist spots in Nilgiris are closed due to heavy rain in the region and trees falling at various spots. Vehicle movement is also disrupted on Doddabetta-Thummanatty Road, Boat House Road, Ooty-Avalanche Road and Ooty-Kotagiri Road due to the falling of trees. Similar incidents were also reported in the Coonoor region and the Manjanakorai-Lovedale area. As per reports, around 413 millimetres of rain was received on Monday in the Nilgiris district.
