The KSRTC is set to launch two new long-distance services from its Munnar Depot. The new Super Fast (Swift) services will operate to Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. The service to Thiruvananthapuram will depart from Munnar at 3 am and reach the state capital via Kottayam at 10.20 am. The return service will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 3 pm and arrive in Munnar at 10.30 pm. The Kozhikode service will depart from Munnar at 8.20 am and reach Kozhikode at 3.30 am. The return journey will commence at 9.30 pm, with the bus reaching Munnar at 4.30 am.

Both services will operate via Anachal. At present, the first KSRTC service from Munnar to Thiruvananthapuram departs at 4.50 am. Depot officials said both services will be launched shortly. KSRTC also recently launched a weekend superfast service to Kumily via Pathanamthitta. The corporation's tourism budget cell introduced a second double-decker bus to Munnar last month.
