PM Modi, who was in Palakkad on March 29 to inaugurate the BJP election campaign, will be back in Kerala on April 4 for the next round. The PM, who will land in a helicopter at the grounds of NSS College, Changanassery, will speak at the Public Stadium in Thiruvalla at 3 pm. He will also take part in a road show in Thiruvananthapuram, from Killippalam to Karamana, the same day, though its timing isn't announced yet. Following the programme, traffic restrictions will be in place at various locations in the Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram districts from April 4, noon. Here are the details:

Restrictions in Thiruvalla, Changanassery
There are traffic restrictions from Thiruvalla to Changanassery today (April 3) and tomorrow from noon to 6 pm. Vehicles would be diverted on the Thiruvalla and Changanassery routes from 12 noon onwards. Besides, entry would be restricted to Thiruvalla Town and Changanassery from 1 pm. District police chief R Anand said that traffic would be completely avoided between the venue of the meeting in Thiruvalla and Changanassery Town from 2 pm. These areas would be totally under police surveillance when the PM attends the meeting.

Vehicles from Alappuzha
• Vehicles, including KSRTC buses, coming from Alappuzha to Kottayam via MC Road, should turn at Kidangara Junction and take the Kunnumkari, Valadi, Mulakkamthuruth and Punnamoodu route.
• Vehicles from Alappuzha to Thiruvalla should turn at Kidangara and take the Thiruvalla – Ambalappuzha Road via Muttar.
• KSRTC buses coming from Alappuzha to Changanassery via AC Road should end the trips at Kailathu Pump in Alappuzha Road as well as Mathave Bridge Ground.
• Vehicles from Alappuzha to Kottayam should take the Cherthala - Thannermukkam – Kumarakam route.

Vehicles from Changanassery
• Vehicles from the Changanassery Market side to Thiruvalla should turn at the SH Junction to Payippad. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Karukachal should take the Central Junction route in Changanassery.
• Vehicles going to Thiruvananthapuram via Palathra bypass should take the Railway Junction route – SH Junction to turn left towards Mukkatpadi – Nalukodi – Payippad to enter the Kaviyoor Road. Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Payippad and Perunthuruthy should take the Nalukodi – Kunnumpuram – Thengana route.
• Vehicles from Changanassery to Alappuzha via AC Road should take the Post Office Junction – Puzhavath Temple Road in Changanassery Town and then enter the EMS Road and Manakkachira Road to reach the MC Road (this would be one way).

Vehicles leaving Kottayam
• Vehicles going to Thiruvalla via MC Road, except the ones heading to Mathumoola and Vazhappally sides, should reach SH Junction via the bypass from Palathra Junction and then take the Nalukodi, Payippad, Kaviyoor route.
• Vehicles from Kottayam to Thiruvananthapuram should go via Kanjikuzhi, Vadavathoor, Manarkad, Puthupally, Karukachal, Mallappally and Kolencherry.

• Those who are going from Kottayam to Pathanamthitta should take the Kanjikuzhi, Puthupally, Karukachal, Nedungadapally, Mallappally, Pullad and Kozhencherry route.
• Kumarakam – Thannermukkam – Cherathala would be the ideal route for vehicles going from Kottayam to Alappuzha.

Vehicles coming from Thiruvananthapuram
• Vehicles going from Thiruvananthapuram to the Ernakulam side should reach Mulakuzha, Puthenkavu, Arattupuzha, Koyipram, Pullad, Mallappally, Manarkad bypass Road, Pattithanam Junction before heading to Ernakulam. Meanwhile, those going to Kottayam could take the KK Road from Manarkad.
• Vehicles from Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam via MC Road turn at Chengannur and head towards the highway via Mundankavu, Pandanad, Parumala, Mannar, Podiyadi, Chakkulathukavu and Amabalappuzha; or they could reach AC Road from Chakkulathukavu via Muttar and Kidangara.

Restrictions in Pathanamthitta – Thiruvalla sides
• Vehicles going from the Chengannur side towards Thiruvalla via MC Road should turn at Teena Junction and take the Podiyadi – Neerettupuram route to reach Kidangara – AC Road.
• Those who are travelling from Pathanamthitta to Thiruvalla should turn towards the Kaviyoor side at Thaottabhagam Junction.
• Vehicles from Mavelikkara to the Thiruvalla side should turn at Podiyadi Junction to reach Neerettupuram – Kidangara – AC Road.
• Vehicles from the Mallappally side should turn at the Kizhakkan Muthoor side towards Kaviyoor.

Traffic restrictions in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday
The police have imposed traffic restrictions in the city on Saturday (April 4, 2026) from 2 pm to 9 pm. Vehicles should not be parked on the roadside at Shankumugham, All Saints, Chakka, Petta, Pallimukku, Pattoor, General Hospital, Ashan Square, Under Passage, Bakery, Mettukada, Thycaud, Thampanoor Flyover, Killipalam, Karamana, Neeramankara, Pappanamkode, Poojapura and Jagathy.

Traffic restrictions would be imposed at Kaimanam, Poojapura, Attakulangara, Thampanoor, Thycaud, Choorakattupalayam, Killipalam, and Karamana sides, as the PM would be leading a road show here.
• Vehicles from Vellayambalam to Thampanoor and East Fort sides via Vazhuthacaud should take the Vellayambalam, Museum – LMS – Palayam – Statue – Overbridge route.
• Vehicles going from Pappanamkode to Thampanoor and East Fort via Karamana should take the Kaimanam – Maruthoor Kadavu – Madhupalam – Thiruvallam – Manacaud – Attakulangara – East Fort route.

• Those who are going from Thampanoor – East Fort sides to Pappanamkode, Nemom sides via Karamana should take the Overbridge – Attakulangara – Manacaud – Thiruvallam – Madhupalam – Kaimanam route.
• Vehicles from the Thirumala side to Poojapura and Karamana to head via Pallimukku – Edapazhanji – Sreemoolam Club Junction – Althara – Keltron – Museum – LMS – Palayam – Statue – Overbridge.

• Vehicles from Vellayambalam, Pattom and Keshavadasapuram sides towards Pappanamkode, Nemom and Neyyatinkara should take the Vellayambalam – Shasthamangalam – Edapazhanji – Thirumala – Thrikannapuram – Vellayani route.
• Those who are going to the railway station and the airport should plan their trip accordingly. Passengers to the domestic terminal should take the Venpalvattam, Chakka Flyover, Enjakkal Kallummoodu, Ponnara Bridge, and Valiathura route. Meanwhile, passengers for the international terminal should go via Venpalavattam, Chakka Flyover, Enjakkal, and the Kallummoodu Ananthapuri Hospital Service Road.
