Kozhikode: The excitement is palpable as budding quizzers gear up for the 16th edition of the Q Positive Quiz Training, set to kick off on May 3 at Sree Gokulam Public School, Kozhikode. Organized by Q Factory, Kerala's pioneering professional quizzing organization, in collaboration with the esteemed school, the event promises a thrilling journey into the world of quizzes and general knowledge for students from 2nd to 12th grade.

The three-day mentorship program, led by the renowned Quiz Man of Kerala, Snehaj Srinivas, aims to ignite the minds of young learners, guiding them through various aspects of quizzing and GK. "This event is designed to engage, excite, and entertain students while providing them with essential skills for competitive examinations," remarks former IPS officer Remya Roshni.

With an esteemed panel of trainers including IPS officer Arun Pavithran, writer Indu Menon, former Civil Service Officers Remya Roshni IPS, PT Arun IpoS, sports journalist Muhammed Davood, and the popular face of Kozhikode Quizzing Bindu Amat, participants can expect a holistic learning experience. “This is basically a mentorship program where we do profiling of each kid in three aspects - knowledge, skill and attitude. Our mentors conduct follow-up sessions, devising strategies as per the response and requirement of each child,” explains Snehaj Srinivas.

The program boasts interactive sessions covering a wide range of subjects, from history to science, literature, and sports, aimed at sharpening observation, analysis, and problem-solving skills. “Many of the big names in Kerala Quizzing was part of previous editions of this program either as a participant or as a trainer,” says Arun K Pavithran IPS, who was regular in Kerala Quizzing circuit during his college days.

The sessions will be held at the Sree Gokulam Public School Calicut at Govindapuram on May 3, 4 and 5. Following three days of intensive offline training, participants will benefit from six months of follow-up sessions, including general knowledge cards, mini quizzes, and informal meets to sustain their enthusiasm.

Catering to students from classes 2 to 12, the program offers tailored training in three categories: Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior, ensuring every participant receives personalized attention. And with exciting events like the 20:20 quiz competition and the coveted Champion of the Camp trophy up for grabs, the stakes are high for this year's participants.
