This time, examinations for other classes are also taking place on the same day as SSLC examinations. The SSLC examination papers are scheduled in the morning session and the exams for 1-9 classes are in the afternoon. Teachers who arrive for the SSLC examination duty will have to continue in the same school in the afternoon.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) committee of the General Education Department. Although the decision of the QIP meet has been sent as intimation, no circular has been issued on this matter so far.
This arrangement is in schools where lower primary and upper primary classes are part of the high school. It is the District Education Officers who prepare the list of teachers being deputed to designated schools for the SSLC duty after they are sent from each school.
At the same time, it is not clear who is authorised to allot them the additional duty.
