Onam season is over and now movie industry is gearing up for Pooja releases. And this festive season, the Malayalam box office is likely to watch a curious contest.
The box office will see the clash of lady superstar Manju Warrier’s Udaharanam Sujatha with much-awaited Dileep-starrer Ramaleela.
After facing much hurdles, Dileep's delayed film Ramaleela will reach the cinemas on September 28. Produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam under the banner of Mulakuppadam Films, the movie is directed by debutant Arun Gopy.
Udaharanam Sujatha, directed by debutant Phantom Praveen, will also release in the same week, say reports. Director Martin Prakkat and actor Joju George are the producers.
Dulquer Salmaan’s Parava, the directorial debut of popular actor Soubin Shahir, and Solo by Bejoy Nambiar were slated to release this month itself. But till now, no official confirmation regarding the dates have been made.
Tovino Thomas is gearing up for two major releases. Abhiyude Katha Anuvinteyum, the bilingual movie, directed by B R Vijayalakshmi will be simultaneously released both in Malayalam and Tamil. The movie will hit the theaters on September 22.
Tharangam, directed by Dominic Arun which marks the entry of Dhanush's production house, Wunderbar films to Mollywood is expected to hit the theaters during Pooja holidays.
