Thrissur: Actor Mohanlal's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had set off several theories regarding the likely purpose of the meet. However, the popular actor is insisting that the meeting was a courtesy call that coincided with the 41st anniversary of his film career.

“We didn't discuss politics,” stated the superstar in a note on his blog. On reports that the meeting had a political colour, he said: “That's but natural.”

However, the actor's own words confirm that he is indeed a Modi fan. Three weeks after meeting Prime Minister, Mohanlal claimed he still feels the leader's 'positive energy.'

“One can feel a positive energy standing beside any big personality... I returned with waves of positivity. Let them inspire me and the activities of our organisation," Mohanlal wrote.

Mohanlal also noted that Modi knows both politics and nation-building are entirely different. He revealed that Modi did talk on the Kerala floods, its dams and the precautions the state has to take. He was surprised to know that the leader was well aware of even minor aspects about Kerala.

The actor claimed that he has never come across a patient listener as Modi is. The prime minister eagerly listened when Mohnalal explained the initiatives of his NGO, named ViswaSanti, and assured support.

Mohanlal had reportedly met Modi to brief him on the planned projects of the Viswashanti Trust, named after his father Viswanathan Nair and mother Santhakumari.
