Luca's first song was all about art and 'more art'. Right from the release of the song 'Ore Kannalini thedum pathayil', the hype about Tovino's upcoming flick was everywhere. Going by song which was widely shared on social media, it sealed the predictions of being a true love story. It was even trending on Youtube and much as expected, Luca's trailer is also trending no 1 on Youtube on Tuesday morning.
The lead pair Niharika essayed by Ahaana Krishna, and Luca essayed by Tovino Thomas introduces themselves as the trailer begins.
Helmed by Arun Bose and co-written by Mridul George, Luca's trailer keeps one theme intact apart from art. And yes it's love laced with suspense.
There are layered emotions involving flirting, love, art, dreams, mystery and suspense. Apart from the love angle, the trailer also envisions the involvement of police and we get to have a feeling if Tovino's character Luca gets involved with some case.
Mostly vintage and half-laced in sepia tones, Lucas frame's are aesthetically antique. It may remind you of Dulquer's Charlie or Fahadh's Artist probably, but Luca seems to be a step ahead of it when it comes to compelling suspense. There's a darkness lurking around some corner and we want to explore it as we see the 2-min long trailer. Nimish Ravi's frames are a delight to watch.
'Coffee is caffeine and Caffeine is creativity', says Luca in the video and yes we also expect a creative rush from the flick. Towards the end, the music is gripping and it's sole credit goes to Sooraj S Kurup, who also making an appearance in the trailer video. Vinitha Koshy, Jaffer Idukki, Srikanth Murali are also seen playing pivotal roles.
Art Director Anees Nadodi has to be specially applauded for the visible rustic charms.
Luca will hit screens on June 28, after the release of his flick ' And the Oscar Goes To'. If the trailer is anything to go by, Luca will be yet another gem from Mollywood's young and ever-growing talent Tovino Thomas.
