Lijo Jose Pellissery has released a video showcasing some excellent acting moments by superstar Mohanlal in the movie 'Malaikottai Vaaliban.' The video was posted on his social media handle with the title ‘Navarasa: Nine Faces. One Soul’. Meanwhile, Lijo has captioned the video ‘The Navarasa of Mohanlal’s Vaaliban’.

The video features navarasa or the nine expressions like shringara (love), hasya (humour), karuna (sorrow), raudra (anger),veeram (courage), bhayanaka (terror), bhibatsa (disgust), adbutha (wonder), and shanta (tranquility/peace). According to him, Mohanlal essays these nine emotions perfectly throughout the movie, engrossing the audience in a delightful cinematic experience. For Vaaliban, Shringara is an emotion of love, attraction, and the beauty of connection. Mohanlal as Vaaliban emotes joy, amusement, and light-heartedness in scenes that depict hasya.

Meanwhile, Vaaliban doesn’t hesitate to show adbutha or astonishment and wonder at the unexpected or unknown. Vaaliban doesn’t hesitate to show bheebhatsa or the emotion of revulsion, repulsion, or intense dislike. A distraught Vaaliban expresses karuna or deep sadness, grief, and despair. Anger, rage, and indignation could make Vaaliban an embodiment of Raudra. Mohanlal essays veera, the emotion of courage, bravery and self-assurance perfectly. Bhayanaka is when Vaaliban experiences fear, dread or apprehension. Finally, Vaaliban finds profound peace, serenity and calmness in the expression of shanta.

Mohanlal had pulled off the role of Malaikottai Vaaliban, an undefeated warrior in the epic drama movie, well, but the movie failed to impress the audience and received mixed responses. Meanwhile, one social media user commented that Mohanlal’s performance as Vaaliban failed to grab enough hype as the movie didn’t get much attention in the theatres. Another user said that the character of Vaaliban will remain timeless even if the movie receives mixed reactions. While praising the impeccable acting skills of Mohanlal, many wonder whether there will be a sequel to Lijo Jose Pellisery’s Malaikottai Vaaliban.
