Pranav Mohanlal delivers impressive performance in thrilling ‘Dies Irae’ teaser

The makers of Pranav Mohanlal’s much-anticipated film ‘Dies Irae’ have unveiled its teaser, hinting at yet another gripping horror thriller from director Rahul Sadasivan. While the teaser promises a world-class cinematic experience, it is Pranav’s intense and compelling performance that has truly captured the audience’s attention. Fans have noted that the actor has significantly raised the bar, delivering some standout moments in the thriller.

Though many expected the film to be more overtly violent, audiences are equally intrigued by its thematic and stylistic parallels to Rahul’s earlier critically acclaimed work, ‘Bhoothakaalam,’ which starred Shane Nigam and Revathy. In the teaser, Pranav’s character appears to be tormented by the death of someone close, with the haunting line: “When someone dies holding deep hatred or unfulfilled desire... their soul never truly leaves this world.”

Dies Irae is produced by Night Shift Studios, the banner behind the studio’s acclaimed debut Bramayugam. This marks Pranav’s first venture into the horror genre. He was last seen in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Sesham, where he starred alongside Dhyan Sreenivasan. Director Rahul Sadasivan continues to build a strong reputation in the horror space, with his previous film Bramayugam, featuring Mammootty, earning widespread critical acclaim.
