Malayalam megastar Mammootty was spotted at the Chennai airport on Tuesday as he departed for Hyderabad to begin filming his upcoming project, Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The actor is returning to work after a brief hiatus due to health concerns.
Taking to Instagram, Mammootty shared his excitement about getting back on set. "Back to doing what I love most in life after a short break.Words aren’t enough to Thank everyone who checked on me during my absence. The camera is calling,” he wrote on Instagram.
The veteran actor looked stylish as he dressed in a brown-and-beige shirt paired with white linen trousers. His post was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow actors. “The King is back,” wrote Suraj Venjaramoodu, while Midhun Manuel Thomas, Sunny Wayne, and others reacted with heart emojis.
Director Mahesh Narayanan recently revealed that portions of 'Patriot' had been shot while Mammootty was recovering, and that the team is now preparing to film the much-anticipated scenes featuring both Mammootty and Mohanlal. Following the Hyderabad schedule, the production will move to the UK for the remaining shoot.
