Kochi: The makers of the much-anticipated horror thriller 'Dies Irae' have appealed to fans and the public to refrain from designing, sharing, or resharing unofficial posters of the film, stating that such materials distort the intended tone of the movie. The movie is directed by Rahul Sadasivan.

One of the film’s production houses, All Night Shifts, on Saturday, issued a statement on social media that read, “We're grateful for the love, enthusiasm and creativity around #Diesirae. However, kindly avoid creating, sharing or resharing unofficial posters which alter the movie's intended tone. All official artwork and updates are available on @allnightshifts across all social platforms. Thank you! - Team Dies Irae.”

The Central Board of Film Certification has already cleared the film with an ‘A’ certificate. Earlier known by its working title #NSS2, 'Dies Irae' stars Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role. Confirming the certification, All Night Shifts had announced on Friday, “#DIESIRAE Certified ‘A’! In Cinemas Worldwide from 31st October. #DIESIRAE Starring @pranavmohanlal Written & Directed by @rahul_madking. Produced By @chakdyn @sash041075. Banner @allnightshifts @studiosynot.” The project has generated significant buzz since its announcement, with excitement peaking following the release of the gripping trailer.

'Dies Irae' is set to release worldwide on Halloween. The film has garnered attention for reuniting the creative team behind 'Bramayugam', the critically acclaimed horror film starring Mammootty. The technical crew includes Shehnad Jalal as the cinematographer, Jothish Shankar as the art director, and Shafique Mohammed Ali as the editor — all of whom had previously collaborated on Bramayugam.

Rahul Sadasivan’s Bramayugam was a massive critical and commercial success, noted for its striking black-and-white cinematography and atmospheric storytelling. Set in Kerala’s dark ages, the film centred on three main male characters, featuring Mammootty, Sidharth Bharathan, Arjun Ashokan, and Amalda Liz. The dialogues were penned by novelist TD Ramakrishnan, best known for 'Francis Itty Cora'.
