The series finale of the much-anticipated “Stranger Things” is all set for release. To heighten the excitement, the two-hour finale episode will hit theatres, marking the Netflix show’s first theatrical release.
Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, popularly known as the Duffer Brothers, the fifth and final season will stream on Netflix in three instalments, featuring a total of eight episodes.
The first two parts will debut on November 26 and December 25, while the finale will premiere on December 31. According to Variety, the grand finale, titled “The Rightside Up,” will also be showcased in 350 cinemas on the same day.
Set in the 1980s, “Stranger Things” follows the lives of the residents of Hawkins, a fictional town in Indiana, after a young girl with psychokinetic powers opens a portal between Earth and a menacing alternate world.
The cast includes Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, and Millie Bobby Brown as Jane Hopper, among others. Since its debut in 2016, the horror sci-fi drama has received widespread acclaim from audiences, leading to follow-up seasons in 2017, 2019, and 2022.
