Kalyani Priyadarshan who shot to pan-Indian fame with her performance as ‘Kalliyankattu Neeli’ in ‘Lokah’ is all praise for Dulquer Salmaan’s performance in the period-drama ‘Kaantha’, which hit theatres recently. An overwhelmed Kalyani, who previously worked with Dulquer in Varane Avasyamundu, described his portrayal of Thiruchengode Kalidasa Mahadevan in Kaantha as her favorite performance by the actor.
She took to Instagram to share her happiness. “This might actually be my favourite Dulquer Salmaan performance and for anyone who knows me. That's saying a lot. Went in knowing almost nothing and came out moved. And I can't help it..I get extra excited when Dulquer speaks tamil on the big screen (I know how much he loves the language and deep that connection runs.). Samuthirakani sir. I thought, I would only be cheering for DQs lines but i was cheering for yours too.
"Bhagyasree Borse: As I told you, my eyes go straight to you on screen no matter who else is there. And Rana Daggubati, always love watching you doing what you do best. A special word for the director for taking us through a time in cinema we all wish we were part of,” she posted in Instagram stories.
