Visually striking and emotionally rich, the music video brings Dulquer and Mrunal back together after their 2022 hit in a series of rain-soaked, black-and-white frames.
A viral photograph of actresses Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan holding an umbrella, reminiscent of a scene from their acclaimed 2022 film 'Sita Ramam,' has ignited speculation about a potential reunion for a new project.
Dulquer was initially approached for a key role in Kamal Haasan’s big-budget ‘Indian 2’, but he chose to opt out due to scheduling conflicts.
At its core, 'Kaantha' follows the uneasy push-and-pull between superstar TK Mahadevan (Dulquer) and filmmaker Ayya (Samuthirakani).
‘Kaantha’ directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, is based on TK Mahadevan popularly known as ‘Nadippu Chakravarthy’ (Emperor of Acting), though it is mostly a fictional account of his life.
At the centre of 'Kaantha' lies a simmering rivalry between superstar TK Mahadevan (played by Dulquer) and filmmaker Ayya (Samuthirakani).
He revealed that although he was initially drawn to Dulquer Salmaan’s character, he was offered Fahadh Faasil’s role in the remake.
‘Kaantha’ is jointly produced by Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.
Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming period-drama ‘Kaantha’ is all set to hit theatres on November 14. The recently released trailer of the film directed by Selvamani Selvaraj has only added to the excitement. Taking to social media to share the trailer, the actor wrote, "The world of Kaantha unfolds today!
