Cheruvathur: Narayanan finally has put a name to his shop, perhaps to accept the alias that people had been using for long to address him. The stationary store at Cheruvathur town is now called 'Lal Narayanan Stationary Store.' He says it is the fulfillment of a dream for him.
Narayanan is a hardcore fan of Mohanlal and has seen films of the actor more than a hundred times. He has seen the Lal-starrer 'Chitam' 35 times; he has seen 'Narasimham' about 150 times. Such is his craze for Mohanlal that he used to see 'Narasimham' from morning show to second show continuously! When his story was published on Malayala Manorama's Sunday supplement, Mohanlal expressed his desire to meet him.
Through an acquaintance, Narayanan finally met Mohanlal at Guruvayoor. Surprised by this man who used to see only his movies, Lal embraced him and advised him to work and start a family. Narayanan needed no second thought to oblige to what Lal wanted of him.
After the meeting with the superstar, people started calling him Lal Narayanan. He married and set up a shop and continued his habit of seeing Lal's films on the day they are released.
Even though he had been running his stationary store for some time now, he had not named it. He thought it would be best to christen his shop with the name that people have been calling him, Lal Narayanan.
