National award-winning filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, who has worked with actor Irrfan Khan in several films, says that he is in constant contact with him as he is under treatment. Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare carcinoma recently.
Vishal told media: "Irrfan is in touch with me. It is great that he is recovering and I pray for his speedy recovery. I hope he comes back soon and starts working in films again. I keep on talking to him; these days he is sending me voice note by recording songs in his own voice. He is watching cricket too."
The filmmaker has worked with Irrfan in films like "Maqbool", "7 Khoon Maaf", "Haider", "Talvar" among others.
Vishal announced that he is planning to start shooting film with Irrfan once he is normal. "As soon as Irrfan recovers and come back, we will start our shooting for the film," Vishal said when asked if he was intending to reschedule a film in which the ailing actor and actress Deepika Padukone were to be cast.
In a recent photograph, the actor looked weak, but cheerful. It was through a social media post, Irrfan revealed his grave health condition. Later, he had penned a note on how life has been altered as he realised he was hit by the disease.
