Mohanlal's rendition of 'Naan Aanai Ittal', the iconic Tamil song sung by the late actor and politician M G Ramachandran during a TV show has gone viral. The song evoked memories of Mohanlal's performance in 'Iruvar', the movie inspired by MGR, the legendary chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
The song, which was sung during Mazhavil Entertainment Awards 2023, went viral after it was posted on social media. Mohanlal's rendition of 'Naan Aanai Ittal' has received good response, especially from the Tamil audience, including actor Yogi Babu. Sharing the video, Babu wrote, 'Sema Sema Sema Super Super'. Many people were also in awe of how flawlessly Mohanlal was able to render the song in Tamil. “Such a cute delivery of the iconic song,” wrote one person.
Mohanlal was last seen in the movie 'Alone' directed by Shaji Kailas in which he played a motivational speaker who gets stuck in a flat during the Covid pandemic. He will soon be seen in his debut directorial 'Barroz' and Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'L2: Empuraan'.
