Kochi: Owing to the Opposition-convened statewide hartal on Saturday, the Kochi Muziris Biennale’s literary ‘Ezhuthalarude Kadaloram’ programme at Maharaja’s College has been deferred to a different date, which will be declared shortly.

The final-day programme will be held as scheduled at 2 pm on Sunday at the Aspinwall pavilion. An important line-up of writers, academicians and historians will read and narrate stories at the event.

The three-day ‘Kochi in Letters’ programme started at Changampuzha Park in Edappally on Friday evening with theatre-person Nelson Fernandes being felicitated by writer-activist Prof M K Sanu. Renowned litterateur N S Madhavan is the artistic director of the festival being convened with support from Akashvani Kochi FM, Maharaja’s College Old Students Association (OSA) and Changampuzha Cultural Centre.

The literary event is part of the cultural festival of the ongoing KMB.
