The beautiful house at Perumbaikadu in Kottayam district in Kerala stands out for its unique designs and unusual features. The family didn’t want their brand new house to feature the regular designs and construction patterns that are commonly seen in Kerala. So, they chose the fluid architectural designing which is very popular in many foreign countries. Free flowing spaces that are vaster yet intimate are the highlights of this stunning house.

Patterns with softened curves that look as if they sprout from the soil upwards and then descend make the exteriors incredibly unique. The elevation sports box shaped patterns painted in the pleasant shades of yellow and white. This unique design continues on the boundary wall as well.

This stunning house designed in 2900 sq ft has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen with an adjacent work area, four bedrooms and a library space. Unnecessary walls are avoided in the interiors to make the spaces open and vast. Besides, the use of glasses and other designs are eye-catching features that lend mesmerizing charm to the spaces.

The spaces are designed in such a way to ensure that lots of pleasant and warm sun shine enter the interiors. Excellent cross ventilation is another feature that makes the interiors extremely beautiful and comfortable. The areas are arranged in minimal style and are interconnected. The interiors don the classy elegance of the lighter shades of hues. As the interiors receive ample amount of natural light, false ceiling or artificial light fittings are not installed in this house.

The formal living area is arranged by ensuring enough privacy. Meanwhile, the family living space is designed in double height. The spacious central hall is the highlight of the interiors. One could easily catch a stunning view of this central hall from the upstairs, due to its double heighted roof. From here one could enter the dining area. A wall here, highlighted using orange shade, adds a beautiful pop of colour.

The open kitchen is just beside the dining area. There is an adjacent working kitchen too as part of this area.

All the four bedrooms are designed by ensuring privacy and comfort, with all the required facilities. Open balconies are part of the bedrooms upstairs from where one could enjoy the splendid sights of the greenery outside. Full length wardrobes are arranged for storage. The bath attached bedrooms have separate dressing spaces as well.

The tastefully designed landscape goes amazingly well with the design and ambience of the house. There is a small patch of vegetable garden in the backyard too.
