Dr. Shefil’s brand new mansion at Karicode in Kollam, Kerala is now the talk of town as it features unique designer patterns on the elevation, sparking curiosity. People often gather outside the house to enjoy the scintillating features that are probably not seen in any other house in Kerala. Besides, the interiors of the house are opulent and do justice to the lavish elevation.

It is the perfect fusion of geometrical shapes that makes the elevation stand out. At a glance, it might seem as if the structure is embraced by ellipses. Meanwhile, it definitely would be an understatement to say that the spacious car porch is incredibly chic! This huge structure, without any pillars, has been built using steel and RCC.

Sprawling in 6600 sqft, this palatial mansion has a giant car porch, sit-out, foyer, formal and family living areas, two courtyards, two bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor. Meanwhile, there are three bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floor. The interiors designed in the semi-open style are really spacious and ensure privacy too.

The entrance door opens to the foyer and the formal living area is arranged on the right side. The custom-made couch sets, in electric blue, add a pop of colour here. Besides, the golden leaf designs on the highlighter wall are another attractive feature in the elegantly furnished formal living area.

The TV unit is part of the family living area. Meanwhile, the ceiling fan with wooden leaves adds a rustic charm to this area. Interestingly, imported ceiling fans have been used in all the rooms in this house. A prayer area too has been separated close to the family living area.

The spacious courtyard with double-height ceiling is the most beautiful spot in the house. A hanging cot has been added here to make this area cosy. Meanwhile, the courtyard is drenched in natural sunshine, keeping it extremely pleasant and warm too.

The dining area, another focal point in the interiors, also feature a double-height ceiling which helps in making the spaces look vaster. The eight-seater dining table with blue coloured chairs is indeed the centre piece here. A curio shelf and a wash area too have been arranged as part of this area.

Interestingly, there is another amazing courtyard beside the dining area. The wooden laminate flooring is quite interesting while the full-length glass wall instantly lures attention. Meanwhile, an automated shutter is installed here to ensure safety.

The kitchen is modern and has been furnished in the classic black and white theme. Besides the in-built fridge, sink, hob and cabinets, a sleek breakfast counter too has been arranged as part of the kitchen.

The staircase crafted in teak wood has hand railings done in toughened glass. Meanwhile, the courtyard cum stair area has a pergola ceiling which brings lots of natural sunlight into the house.

The roof of the master bedroom has been designed like the roof of a car. This customised design was suggested by the owner himself who has a special interest in cars. The head sideboard in bright red hue, the CNC cutting back wall with beautiful backlighting and the LED light standing mirror surrounded by vertical garden are some of the unique features of this bedroom.

The kids’ room too is decorated splendidly as per their personal preferences. The entire house including the bedrooms are equipped with automation technology. This lets the family control the various features in the house using phones and sensors. Meanwhile, the motion sensor in the bathroom automatically turns on the lights when someone enters the room and stays on until they leave.

The sitting area arranged on the floor in the upper living area is snug and comfortable. Interestingly, this area is separated with wooden laminate flooring which also acts as a designer element. A TV unit completes this area.

The balcony and an open terrace too are part of the upper floor. Besides, an outhouse is built behind the house. This fabulous mansion, with its awe-inspiring designer elements and luxurious interiors, is indeed an architectural wonder.
