The Motor Vehicle Department of Kerala is all set to launch an app connecting the ambulances, hospitals and police across the state, for emergency purposes. The data collection for the same is currently ongoing. The 108 ambulance service will also be added into the fold. The 112 number of the police will be used for the app services as well. Once the service is launched, whoever calls 112 for ambulance services will be assigned the nearest regional ambulance. The app will alert it on its own and share details of the hospital to which the patient will be taken. If the patient needs to be given first aid, like CPR, the details will also be provided on the app.
