A day after a DNA test confirmed who drove the i20 that blew up near India's Red Fort on Monday, the double helix has appeared as today's Google Doodle. The DNA matching was significant evidence in the probe of the blast, and it also reportedly revealed the links of the crime to various other arrests and investigations in the previous week. However, today's Google Doodle apparently has no connection to any headline or event it commemorates. Here's what you need to know:

The double helix on the doodle
Today's Google doodle aims to serve as an educational tool to encourage people to explore genetics. As a reader hovers over the doodle, it says 'Learning about DNA' and once they click, it takes them to the Google AI Mode, explaining the A, T, C and G bases of DNA and how they pair to form hydrogen bonds.

Your DNA
The Cleveland Clinic describes DNA as the set of instructions that tells our bodies how to make us, our organs, and our tissues, what they should look like, and how they function. DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, has its own language to write your story, and it is packed into chromosomes. The DNA language is written using only four letters - A, C, G, and T. Each letter stands for various molecular groups. Errors in them can result in health problems.

What damages DNA
1) Alcohol consumption
2) Smoking
3) Inhaling pure quality air
4) Sun exposure
All of this can also cause fertility issues, congenital health issues, skin changes, cancer, premature ageing, heart disease, lung and other diseases.
'DNA' has more than 100K search volume on Google Trends in the past 14 hours.
