Internet sensation Santha, to sing in Nadirshah's next movie

Neeleswaram: Amid the roaring machineries in the nail manufacturing company, music plays louder in the ears and heart of this woman. Santha Babu, who went viral on social media with her lovely voice two years back is ready for her debut in an upcoming movie.

Resident of Navodayapuram, in Neeleswaram panchayat, Santha was invited by Nadirsha to sing in his next movie.

Nadirsha was surprised to hear the song 'Vijanathayil' from the movie, 'How old are you,' sung by her. Though he tried calling her many times, she missed it. Then he connected with her through her own classmate Mani Ayyambuzha who was behind recording her song and posting it in the Facebook.

Santha supports her husband who is a labourer, with her job in the company. Her elder daughter is pursuing post graduation in St. George College, Erattupetta. And her son is a plumber.

Two years ago, in an Alumni meet in a school in Ayyambuzha, she sang chorus for Najim Arshad, which is how she came to be noticed in social media. When the video went viral, Mani Ayyambuzha along with the president of the Alumni Association, TN Manoharan came to her home, recorded a song and posted it online. 'Karmukil varnante chundil' sung by her that day has reached two lakh views. Santha has sang in 4 albums already.

Santha is not a classically trained singer, however due to her friend's compulsion she has joined a classical music class in Kalady.
