The SBI general insurance has launched a cyber defence insurance to protect businesses from hackers. The insurance plan will focus on SME and mid-size businesses in the first phase. Larger businesses would also be covered gradually.
The company said that it launched the product to factor in the increasing cyber attacks targeting companies. The insurance policy will cover hacking, personal data theft, leak of private information and disruptions to business.
