Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known by its brand Milma, has entered into an agreement with RG Foods and Midnightsun Global to export its dairy products to Australia and New Zealand. According to Milma, this is a significant step in expanding its overseas market presence.

KCMMF Managing Director Asif K Yusuf, RG Foods Executive Director Vishnu G, and Midnightsun Global Proprietor Bindu Ganesh Kumar signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Milma Chairman K S Mani, according to an official statement.

Under the agreement, RG Foods will oversee the collection of Milma products, handle logistics, customs clearance, and freight forwarding, and ensure compliance with import laws in the destination countries, reported PTI. Midnightsun Global will serve as the coordinating partner for operations and facilitation without holding ownership rights over the products.

“This agreement marks a milestone in Milma’s overseas outreach, further strengthening the global recognition of our products known for quality and health benefits,” said Chairman Mani.

Milma’s products are already available in several Gulf nations, and the new tie-up is expected to benefit from the large Non-Resident Keralite (NRK) population in Australia and New Zealand.

Mani noted that the dairy farmers—members of the cooperative—would be the biggest beneficiaries of Milma’s market expansion, adding that 92.5% of the federation’s profit was distributed to farmers last year.

In the first phase, Milma will export paneer, payasam mix, and dairy whitener, Yusuf said, adding that the federation is also exploring export opportunities to other countries with a sizeable Kerala diaspora.
