Malayalam director Roshan dies

He was suffering from liver ailments and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru.

Kannur: Malayalam filmmaker U C Roshan died on Wednesday. The Kannur native was 55.

He was suffering from liver ailments and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru. Roshan had directed Sreenivasan-starrer Mangalya Pallakku. He had worked as an assistant director for several years. Roshan had assisted Cochin Haneefa in Bheeshmacharya and Mammootty-starrer Valsalyam, which turned out to be a blockbuster. He had also worked in Kollywood.

The funeral will held later in the day at Payyambalam in Kannur.
