Munnar: The body of a Keralite hotel management student, who went missing a month ago from near the famous Niagara Falls in Ontario, near the US-Canada border, has been found.
The body of Danny Joseph, 20, was found enveloped in snow on the shores of the waterfalls.
The deceased is the son of Jolly Varghese, a resident of Manayath in Munnar.
Danny was a final-year hotel management student in Canada. He was also working at the Milestones restaurant at the Marriott Hotel, near the waterfalls, in Ontario. He had gone missing on February 14.
Danny's cellphone had been switched off.
The Canadian police had launched an investigation after his friends and college authorities filed a complaint. The probe couldn't make headway as the area was blanketed in heavy snow. The body could be traced after a month as the snow had started melting.
Danny's body is kept at the Hamilton Hospital in Niagara Falls. The Malayali community there is making efforts to send the body home with the help of the Indian consulate.
