Kottayam: Manorama News has released the video showing the likely visuals of missing college student Jesna. The Kerala police team probing her mysterious disappearance had earlier come across CCTV images that show a girl, suspected to be Jesna, walking past a shop in Mundakayam on March 22, the day she was reported missing. Six minutes later, a boy, believed to be Jesna's friend, too walks down the same street.

However, it is not confirmed if the girl in the footage was indeed Jesna. Eyewitnesses had earlier said that Jesna was wearing a churidar on the day she went missing. But CCTV images showed a girl clad in jeans and shirt.

As reported earlier the special investigation team (SIT) had earlier attempted to obtain the CCTV visuals from the shop, but the outdoor-mounted camera was found to be damaged in lightning. It retrieved the footage with help of experts from the Hi-Tech Crime Enquiry Cell.

The Kerala police had earlier received information that the missing college student was spotted with another girl by a few visitors to the Kottakunnu Tourism Park at Malappuram on May 3. However, there were no further leads.

The B Com student had gone missing while she was on her way from her home in Pathanamthitta district to her aunt's house in the neighbouring Kottayam district on March 22.

Jesna's disappearance led to protests by many groups in the state, demanding a detailed probe into the case and an SIT has been formed to expedite the probe.
