Accused R Sivarenjith, P P Pranav and A N Naseem had received the questions of the same bar code. This made it easy for a third-party to send them answers from outside.
It was earlier found that the question papers were leaked from the University College. The question papers leaked with the help of the college staff eventually reached the hands of a cop, Gokul, at SAP Camp and Kallara native Shafeer. They sent the replies as messages from the Palayam tower location. They sent the messages from four numbers.
It was found that Naseem had sent in two applications from two different profiles to the PSC. The data of birth mentioned in both profiles were different. Naseem is the former SFI unit secretary of the University College.
The accused Pranav, Safeer, and Gokul are still in hiding. The PSC is yet to debar the accused. Sivarenjith, Pranav and Nassem had bagged the first, second and 28th rank in KAP 4th battalion exam respectively. The PSC exam fraud was revealed after the students got involved in the University College stabbing incident in July.
