Kannur woman confronts man who molested her on a bus, gets him arrested

A young woman who was molested on a moving bus chased the accused and got him arrested in Kasaragod on Thursday.

The incident occurred on a KSRTC bus during a journey between Kannur and Kanhangad. A 21-year-old woman from Kannur was travelling for PSC coaching when she was molested by a co-passenger.

The woman told Manorama News that the accused pressed his body against her's inside the bus. "There was no rush on the bus and I told him to move back but he was unmoved.

"After I shouted the conductor asked me about the matter and then told him to exit.

But she was unwilling to let him go just like that and followed him with her mobile phone camera rolling.

She told the locals about what had happened and they helped to apprehend the accused.

The youngster said that she called the pink police first and also informed the local station. "I told the man that if he stood up and tried to run I will hit him."

Thrikkaripur-native Rajeev was arrested by the Hosdurg Police. The youngster said that she wanted to send out a message by confronting the molester.
