Kochi: The Kochi City Police have arrested four youths and seized different types of banned narcotic substances, including a large quantity of MDMA, from them. 

The arrested are Shamil Fijas Muhammed from Malappuram, and Abooshamil and Diya from Kozhikode. The arrests were made following a raid at a flat in Elamkulam near Vyttila early on Tuesday. The District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) raided the apartment based on a tip-off.

The narcotics confiscated from the suspected peddlers include 115 grams of MDMA, 35 grams of Ecstasy pills and 2 grams of ganja.

The police said the accused were being questioned, and a probe will be conducted to find the source of the drugs. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Kerala to combat drug trafficking and abuse.
