Thiruvananthapuram: Preliminary work on the Venjaramoodu flyover is set to begin on July 25, with electrical cable works scheduled as the first phase. In view of this, traffic diversion plans are implemented.

Vehicles, including KSRTC buses, travelling from Thiruvananthapuram towards Venjaramoodu will be diverted via Thycaud–Samanwaya Nagar to Pakistanmukku and will then proceed through Venjaramoodu Junction towards Kottarakkara.

Authorities have instructed the establishment of a KSRTC outpost at Pakistanmukku to bar KSRTC buses from entering the bus stand. The Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) has been directed to take necessary steps to ensure smooth traffic flow along the Samanwaya Nagar route.

Additionally, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has received instructions to raise the power lines along the stretch from Samanwaya Nagar to Pakistanmukku. There will be no traffic diversion in the initial phase on the Attingal–Nedumangad road.

Vehicles travelling from Kottarakkara to Thiruvananthapuram must use the Outer Ring Road via the Ambalamukku–Palamkonam route. Those heading from Kottarakkara to Gokulam Medical College must travel via Ambalamukku.

Once the Inner Ring Road is completed, KSRTC buses from Kottarakkara will access the KSRTC bus stand via the Inner Ring Road, turning left through the market near Venjaramoodu Police Station. These buses will then return to Thiruvananthapuram via the Outer Ring Road through Palamkonam.
