Adv George G Poothicote passes away at 58

Adv George G Poothicote (Jiji), aged 58, passed away on Saturday. He was the son of the late P G George and Sussy George.
The public viewing will be at the Chakolas Habitat Club House, Thevara, on Sunday between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm. The body will be brought to his residence, Puthanpura, Poothicote, Mepral, Tiruvalla, on Monday at 9 am. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm at the residence and proceed to St John’s Orthodox Church, Mepral.
Adv Poothicote served as a Special Public Prosecutor for the Central Income Tax Department in Kerala. He was an expert in commercial and company law, as well as arbitration.
He held key positions including Director of the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM), Secretary General of India International ADR Association (IIADRA), Certified Mediator with the International Mediation Institute (IMI), The Hague, and Certified Arbitrator with APCAM.
He is survived by his wife, Nisha Anna George, and children, Adv Susi George Poothicote and Kurian George Poothicote. His son-in-law is Joseph Thomas.
His siblings include Metropolitan Zacharias Mar Nicholovos of the North-East American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church, Ranjini Elizabeth George, Adv P G Mathew, and Adv George Pothen.
