Kozhikode: A woman reported missing from Pashukkadavu near Kuttiady was found dead alongside her cow in a private plot near a forested area around 1 am on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Choolapparambil Bobby (46), wife of Shiju Thomas, a resident of Kongad Mala. She had gone missing on Saturday afternoon after setting out to retrieve her cow, which had been grazing near the forest.
Police from Thottilpalam station arrived at the site and shifted Bobby's body to Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Preliminary observations revealed no visible injuries, indicating a wild animal attack.
The cow’s necropsy is being conducted at the location by the veterinary team. “The cause of death will be confirmed only after this,” a Thottilpalam police officer told Onmanorama.
