Iritty: KSEB workers have set a heartwarming example by bringing electricity to a home in Mundayamparambil that had remained in darkness for over sixty years.
The beneficiary of this initiative is Raveendran Pulikkal, whose house was wired and connected to the power grid by employees of the KSEB Edoor Section. Raveendran, who lives alone, was overwhelmed with joy and left speechless by the long-awaited moment.
He had previously lived in the same house with his mother, who passed away three years ago. Raveendran earns a modest income through the Employment Guarantee Programme and had been trying in vain for years to obtain an electricity connection. It was only when the KSEB Edoor Section stepped in, cleared all the hurdles, and took full responsibility that his dream finally became a reality.
Ayyankunnu Panchayat President Kuriachan Paimballikkunnel inaugurated the service. Iritty Division Executive Engineer A N Sreelakumari performed the switch-on. Iritty Sub-Divisional Assistant Executive Engineer Leejo Thomas presided over the event.
Edoor Section Assistant Engineer P G Saneesh, Panchayat Member Mini Viswanathan, Mundayamparambil Devaswom LP School teacher Anil Kumar, and Edoor Sub Engineer Ajesh Shaji also spoke.
