Kottakkal: A young man who had a close shave with death made a miraculous return to life, thanks to the dedicated and coordinated efforts of doctors at the Aster MIMS hospital. Edappal native Agneesh (22) was electrocuted at his workplace and was severely injured. He was rushed to Aster MIMS hospital and was treated by the doctors of various departments.

Agneesh was electrocuted while using a fibre tap at his workplace in Kuttipuram. He fell unconscious and was in a coma with no pulse when he was rushed to MIMS. He was immediately moved to the MICU and was given medicines to normalise his blood pressure. The doctors soon diagnosed a hypoxic injury to his head.

A comprehensive treatment plan was then devised by coordinating the doctors of various departments. Meanwhile, Agneesh’s both kidneys failed and his lungs got infected with pneumonia. His condition deteriorated when one complication followed another. However, the team of efficient doctors were able to tackle these problems and provide the best available treatment.

Agneesh was in a coma for almost ten days. Gradually, he began responding to the treatment. Slowly, his condition improved and was out of danger. After spending around 20 days in the ICU, Agneesh was shifted to the room where the treatment continued.
