Kuravilangad: With the vacation season setting in, Kozha Science City has begun to see a surge in visitors. Every day, hundreds of people, including students, arrive to explore this hub of scientific wonders.
Since its opening in July, the facility has welcomed nearly 20,000 visitors, according to estimates. Study tours from various parts of the district are also making their way to the centre. Entry is priced at ₹30 per person, with students eligible for a concessional rate of ₹20. The Science City features several scientific exhibits and offers an engaging learning experience, highlighted by a 3D theatre.
Entry timings: The facility is open to visitors from 10 am to 5 pm and remains closed on Mondays.
Parking facility: Ample parking space has been arranged for vehicles, including buses. The ticket counter is located just beyond the main entrance, and visitors must purchase tickets here before entry. The entire premises is a plastic-free zone, and a food court has also been set up for visitors’ convenience.
Onam holiday: In connection with the Onam festival, the Science City will remain closed on September 4 and 5, the Assistant Director informed.
