The state government has released ₹39.8 crore as mobilisation advance to Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) limited which executes the Wayanad Township project for the survivors of the landslide. The government had accorded an administrative sanction of ₹351.48 crore for the project.

KIIFCON, the project management consultancy (PMC) of the scheme, issued technical sanction for an amount of ₹324.49 crore. The contract amount was fixed at ₹299 crore (inclusive of GST) and the contract was executed with the ULCCS Ltd. In May 2025, the government released an advance amount of ₹20 crore from the CMDRF and a sanction was granted for the release of 20% of the contract value as a mobilisation advance.

The Special Officer Wayanad Township Project informed the government that the contractor has submitted a claim for the balance amount admissible under the approved mobilisation advance provision based on the contract value. The government has sanctioned this sum based on the letter from the Special Officer.

Meanwhile, the state government has appointed M Sivadasan, retired Chief Engineer ( Irrigation and Administration), as the Task Team leader for implementing the works undertaken in the landslide-affected site in Punnapuzha. He will closely monitor all aspects of the work and give suggestions/recommendations at right time about any technical or administrative requirement for speedy and progressive implementation of the work to the department officers associated with the work including the Chief Engineer (I&A), according to the government order.

(i) De-silting in Punnapuzha river along with the removal of debris and boulders.

(iii)Sub Soil investigation, rock testing and Terrestrial Laser Scanning along the Punnapuzha river and run out area.

The project is being executed at a cost of ₹195.55 crore.
